Spider Love
Delgosha Gallery proudly presents Hayde Ayazi’s solo painting exhibition titled ‘Spider Love’. She paints hearts, skulls, crows, lines and thousand other things. She is the painter of ‘plurality’; Like a film director, she intricately puts every parts into its proper place in the composition, and she lets each character plays its role. The painting begins like movie, but it never ends; Ayazi’s paintings have only beginning but no end.
Intertwined thin lines fill surfaces and shape bodies of flowers and birds; this only requires a feminine delicate touch that men rarely achieve. She, willingly or unwillingly has a motherly voice, an anxious voice we all are familiar with. She brings this motherly feel to her paintings; Ayazi takes care of her subjects elegantly, and yet at the same time gives her spectators enough space for imagination, even if their imaginations are not aligned with her images. She gives room to all creatures to be present in her paintings, and she bestows them a new world. Ayazi harvests biscuits in the farm of her paintings. In skies of her paintings, there is a shower of snow and stars together. Colourful hearts begin to walk and wander around cactuses. Her pallet is grey of city and wonders; the grey that covers us all. Ayazi’s paintings are indeed this complex.
